I am currently taking Prednisone for poison ivy. Here is one of the precautions listed:
"Psychic derangements may appear when corticosteriods are used, ranging from euphoria, insomnia, mood swings, personality changes, and severe depression, to frank psychotic manifestations. Also, existing emotional instability or psychotic tendencies may be aggravated by corticosteriods."
I think it's all worth it, though, cuz when you have a bad case of the poison ivies, you can experience some of the same symptoms.

Did I ever tell you that I got poison ivy the week fo our wedding? It wasn't exactly poinson ivy, but something a-kin to it. I thought I had just scraped my forearm so I didn't think anything of it. Then is started spreading... alot! It spread on to both arm, but that was by no means the abd part. I sleep with my forearm under my face, so it was definately on my face and swelling. For a couple of days I put some of the pink lotion (Calamine I believe) on it, but after a couple of days of it continuing to get worse I happen to notice that it had expired in 1998, and since it was 2006 I was basically making a mess and nothing more by applying it regularly. Needless to say a couple days before the wedding my soon to be wife made me go to Care Now and get a shot. Probably the best $100 dollars we spent on the wedding.
